KML2X3D Converter

Convert Google Sketchup files to X3D

Download KML2X3D Converter.

KML2X3D converts files in the Keyhole Markup Language (KML), the modeling format for Google Sketchup, into X3D, the ISO standard for real-time 3D graphics. Once in X3D, content creators can add animation and interactivity using Flux Studio. Content creators can also take advantage of the Google 3D Warehouse, a vast storehouse of models that Google provides for free, to create Google Earth mashups!

Please take a look at some of the example scenes below. Note the before (left) and after (right) pictures. To view the Web 3D versions, click on the right-hand images to open them with Flux Player.

Taj Mahal
A straightforward conversion of the Taj Mahal, this looks exactly the same in X3D as in KML. Now it's ready for use in other X3D content...

Mini Car with Sizzle
This model was converted to X3D using KML2X3D, then brought into Flux Studio where lights, reflections and animations were added to create a lively piece.

The Disney Concert Hall
This model was converted to X3D using KML2X3D, then brought into Flux Studio, where it was incorporated into an immersive building walkthrough set in a rich street scene.

Google Earth Mashup
Cube3 created this political statement as one of the first ever Google Earth Mashups. Opening the KML file launches Google Earth and takes you to the Statue of Liberty, where a link launches FLUX Player running inside Google Earth's embedded web browser!
